Issue #1, June 1992 The book opens with Silver Sable training outside Castle Sable in Symkaria (training is a recurring theme, so look for it). Here we see the first of Powell, a member of the Wild Pack, as well as Sandman, again. The issue establishes that Silver Sable and her corporation, Silver Sable International are recognized and respected around the globe. A situtation arises on Long Island, as Marvel's resident terrorist group, Hydra, take over a boarding school, where Silver's niece, Anna, is attending. After claiming that personal matters shouldn't guide her actions, they do, and Silver goes at it alone to rescue her niece. She meets up with Spider-Man, who already at the scene, and they begin the rescue operation. Sandman brings the rest of the Wild Pack to assist. We are then introduced to Dmitri, an operative for Hydra, and revealed former lover of Silver's (and this guy is nasty looking, what's she thinking). The rescue is successful as Spidey, Sandman, and Silver clean up the Hydra goons, and get this comic book seriously rolling. |
